Romans 1:1-32
Hello Resurrection Church Family! Welcome to day 1 of our five-month reading plan through the Epistles of the New Testament. The word Epistle comes from the Greek word meaning “dispatch” or “letter.” This genre of Scripture consists of apostolic missives sent to churches occasioned on an issue or occurrence in and around the early churches, both positive and negative. In other words, these are very instructive and rich books that are filled with insight, teaching and commands as relevant today as it was for the original audience. As we begin in the book of Romans, my prayer is that we will be refreshed by the reading of God’s Word and that the Bible would remain the lifeblood of our thinking and gathering. Below you will find a helpful resource from The Bible Project to prime the pump for reading the book of Romans, after which you will see the segment of text for today's reading and a comment section where you are welcome to leave your thoughts, comments and questions. Happy reading!
