How many times have you heard this one… “Put the CHRIST back in CHRISTmas” or “Remember the REASON for the SEASON.” I think these statements are important and even necessary, but I don’t entirely know if I think they’re helpful.
How can we put a person into Christmas if we don’t truly understand how He connects with Christmas? Truly He is the reason for the season but we will only appreciate that reason if we understand HIS reason. His reason for coming as a baby in a humble manger 2000 years ago.
And so, as we step into Advent, we want to go on a journey together. This will be a journey of Expectation, of Promise, and of Preparation, all leading up to our celebration of His Arrival. So, our invitation to you, this December, is to Make Room for Jesus.
Set aside five minutes every day to go through this devotional together with your family, a small group of friends, your coworkers, or at least in your alone time with the Lord.
This is usually a time of year where our homes are full of extended family and maybe even people who’ve never heard the story of Jesus. Maybe, just maybe, God might use your normal everyday faithfulness, as you go through this 25-Day Advent Devotional, to Make Room in their hearts and lives too!
